Mediation/Collaboration Out Of Court Options
Our attorney's encourage resolution of family law disputes via mediation, collaborative law or other out of court means. Our attorneys are both collaborative law trained. Often, the results obtained in this fashion are better or equal to what may be obtained in contested litigation. These options offer a private setting for resolution of a case, allows the client to retain control of their case and are usually less costly than litigation. Our experience has shown that agreements voluntarily made are less likely to require future action for enforcement because people tend to comply with agreements that they had a voice in making, as opposed to a court order. These venues also provide mechanisms to resolve disputes which Florida law may not adequately address or recognize, such as disputes between unmarried partners or any other unusual family law dispute.
We are experienced in representing clients through all stages of the mediation and collaboration process. Both attorneys also have extensive experience in serving as a mediator and are available to serve as a mediator in all family law matters.
